Today morning i installed Google Chrome and loved using it.So here are few things which i noticed.
- Easy to install:- As there is no much configurations required its very easy to install.
- Quick:- Just a click is enough it will open browser in fraction of sec’s koolllllllllll , this one i like most as its very fast in opening the browser. This this is because there are very few images when compare to other browsers.

- Developer Kit:- It has a developer kit which has 4 categories View Source,Debug JavaScript, JavaScript Console and Task Manager. Developer can work with JS using the JS console and Debug it ,but not as kool as Fire bug.Task Manager show you detail data of memory used by each tab.
- Only tab get crashed instead of whole browser:-While browsing through any browser if any error occur while loading a site they crash whole browser i mostly get irritated of it,while here Google Chrome crashes that particular site alone. When i saw in Window Task Manager google is running each tab as a new task,so i think this might help them to to kill only that particular tab. instead of crashing whole browser .
Well this are the few things i noted in 1 hr usage of the browser.Few more things are discussed here.Have you tried it?????

Yes guys, when i was in FireFox1.5 i faces too much memory leak (500Mb)and browser gets crashes frequently but in firefox2.0 the problem of memory leak is reduce to some extent(it varies 150Mb to 300Mb[when i open gmail account]) and crashing of browser is solved. Now FireFox 3.0 here the problem of memory leak is reduced to further more extent (150 Mb) and they provide more security to you.Fixing more than 11,000 issues in there 3.o beta. Here are few..
- More Security
-
- One-click site info: Click the site favicon in the location bar to see who owns the site. Identity verification is prominently displayed and easier to understand. In later versions, Extended Validation SSL certificate information will be displayed.
- Malware Protection: malware protection warns users when they arrive at sites which are known to install viruses, spyware, trojans or other malware. You can test it here (note: our blacklist of malware sites is not yet activated).
- New Web Forgery Protection page: the content of pages suspected as web forgeries is no longer shown. You can test it here.
- New SSL error pages: clearer and stricter error pages are used when Firefox encounters an invalid SSL certificate.
- Add-ons and Plugin version check: Firefox now automatically checks add-on and plugin versions and will disable older, insecure versions.
- Secure add-on updates: to improve add-on update security, add-ons that provide updates in an insecure manner will be disabled.
- Anti-virus integration: Firefox will inform anti-virus software when downloading executables.
- Vista Parental Controls: Firefox now respects the Vista system-wide parental control setting for disabling file downloads.
- Easier to Use
-
- Easier password management: an information bar replaces the old password dialog so you can now save passwords after a successful login.
- Simplified add-on installation: the add-ons whitelist has been removed making it possible to install extensions from third-party sites in fewer clicks.
- New Download Manager: the revised download manager makes it much easier to locate downloaded files.
- Resumable downloading: users can now resume downloads after restarting the browser or resetting your network connection.
- Full page zoom: from the View menu and via keyboard shortcuts, the new zooming feature lets you zoom in and out of entire pages, scaling the layout, text and images.
- Tab scrolling and quickmenu: tabs are easier to locate with the new tab scrolling and tab quickmenu.
- Save what you were doing: Firefox will prompt users to save tabs on exit.
- Optimized Open in Tabs behavior: opening a folder of bookmarks in tabs now appends the new tabs rather than overwriting.
- Location and Search bar size can now be customized with a simple resizer item.
- Text selection improvements: multiple text selections can be made with Ctrl/Cmd; double-click drag selects in “word-by-word” mode; triple-clicking selects a paragraph.
- Find toolbar: the Find toolbar now opens with the current selection.
- Plugin management: users can disable individual plugins in the Add-on Manager.
- Integration with Vista: Firefox’s menus now display using Vista’s native theme.
- Integration with the Mac: Firefox now uses the OS X spellchecker and supports Growl for notifications of completed downloads and available updates.
- More Personal
-
- Star button: quickly add bookmarks from the location bar with a single click; a second click lets you file and tag them.
- Tags: associate keywords with your bookmarks to sort them by topic.
- Location bar & auto-complete: type the title or tag of a page in the location bar to quickly find the site you were looking for in your history; favicons, bookmark, and tag indicators help you see where results are coming from.
- Smart Places Folder: quickly access your recently bookmarked and tagged pages, as well as your more frequently visited pages with the new smart places folder on your bookmark toolbar.
- Bookmarks and History Organizer: advanced search of your history and bookmarks with multiple views and smart folders to store your frequent searches.
- Web-based protocol handlers: web applications, such as your favorite webmail provider, can now be used instead of desktop applications for handling mailto: links from other sites. Similar support is available for other protocols (Web applications will have to first enable this by registering as handlers with Firefox).
- Easy to use Download Actions: a new Applications preferences pane provides a better UI for configuring handlers for various file types and protocol schemes.
- Improved Platform for Developers
-
- New graphics and font handling: new graphics and text rendering architectures in Gecko 1.9 provides rendering improvements in CSS, SVG as well as improved display of fonts with ligatures and complex scripts.
- Native Web page forms: HTML forms on Web pages now have a native look and feel on Mac OS X and Linux (Gnome) desktops.
- Color management: (set gfx.color_management.enabled on in about:config and restart the browser to enable.) Firefox can now adjust images with embedded color profiles.
- Offline support: enables web applications to provide offline functionality (website authors must add support for offline browsing to their site for this feature to be available to users).
- A more complete overview of Firefox 3 for developers is available for website and add-on developers.
- Improved Performance
-
- Reliability: A user’s bookmarks, history, cookies, and preferences are now stored in a transactionally secure database format which will prevent data loss even if their system crashes.
- Speed: Major architectural changes (such as the move to Cairo and a rewrite to how reflowing a page layout works) put foundations in place for major performance tuning which have resulted in speed increases in Beta 1, and will show further gains in future Beta releases.
- Memory usage: Over 300 individual memory leaks have been plugged, and a new XPCOM cycle collector completely eliminates many more. Developers are continuing to work on optimizing memory use (by releasing cached objects more quickly) and reducing fragmentation.
Further details you can get here..Lets hope Firefox improves further , you can download FireFox 3.0 beta here.

These are few steps to make your firefox run at lightining speed.
1. First in the URL bar, Type “about:config”. This will bring up a list of commands and variables you can edit.
2. The second step is to put “network.http.pipelining” in the filter and change the value to “true”.
3. After that you will want to put “network.http.proxy.pipelining” in the filter.
Like the last one, make that value set to “true” also.
4. Next, locate “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and change the value to some number higher, say 10,20 or even 30, it would make up to 10,20 or 30 requests at once.
5. The last step is to right click anywhere and select “New” then “Integer”. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and make its value “0″. This will make the browser respond faster on the information of the websites it receives.
6. Close out FireFox (make sure FireFox is closed by viewing the Task Manager) and restart it and enjoy the new mega speed

Hi every body ,
Most of the people uses internet in his daily life for various purposes ,so we get connected to the live world through a tool known as browser. So lets discuss few browsers today. There nearly 10+ browsers available today supporting various operating systems.Among this most known browsers are Internet Explorer , Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox,Opera , Netscape, and Safari.Lets discuss few of this here considering different aspects.
Internet Explorer (IE):-
IE browser is developed by the Microsoft Corp. This is the most widely used browser , today most of the PC’s have IE 6 browser. The problem with IE6 is that it doesn’t have multiple tabs , each time it opens a new window which makes our explorer a mesh of window. However this problem is overcome in there updated browser IE 7.
The main problems with the IE browsers are that they throw script and html errors frequently. From developer point of view its a headache to handle there Java script and JSP codes in IE. Suppose if your using one form in another form it will through an error as a result it throws an alert which is hard to understand for this we require visual studio(developed by Microsoft) ‘is this is a business tactics by the organization[:)].Its not friendly to web developer point of view.
Any how due to well established in the market they are 1st in place. But if the development in developing there browser is slow like this then its a big problem for them. If you want to download the IE7 you can get from here.
Mozilla & Mozilla Firefox:-
In my point of view this is the best user as well as developer friendly. These two products are developed by Mozilla Corporation. These browsers are open source and come up with huge number of add-ons (themes ,web developing tool bars, etc.), here you can create y
our own extension but need to know some technology. The main advantage of mozilla is it supports Windows Mac os and Linux in .It come up with multi search engine sights and you can configure it.
Among this add-ons well famous ones are,
- cooliris Previews:-its just similar to snap shots its open the link in a dialog window you don’t need to go that page.
- firebug:-This the feature which every developer would like to have.Using this u can see the page download time, can see how many requests are being passed while loading the page, you can dynamically change the HTML code and see the changes at that instance.
- Dictionary Tooltip:- Here you can see the meaning of unknown word.
- FoxyTunes:-You can listen online music while surfing in web.
- Web Developer:-Adds a web developer tool bar which can be used while debugging the code of web based applications.
…and lots more.
The draw back of firefox is it crashes more when compare to other browsers. But any how the updated version is some what stable. You can get Firefox updated version from here.
Opera:-Opera browser comes for the windows machines. The following considerations they make in there updated version.Let me discuss some salient security features here.

Security: -
- Fraud Protection:-It will protect your personal data from being steal by the websites. You can see the demo here
- Encryption:-Opera supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) versions 2 and 3, and TLS. Opera offers automatic 256-bit encryption, the highest available security of any Web browser.
- Cookie control
- Security bar are some key features.
You can see all features in opera downloading site.

Safari:-Safari is developed by Apple Inc. Its totally performance based browser. Its available for Mac OS & windows think so. They(apple) clam it to be a fastest browser on any platform. You can see stats and download product from this link.So these are some of the browsers which i have used. Please share your view, opinions and if you know any thing more about the browsers.
Lets see in coming years who dominates in the world.
