Koool so far gmail has been changed as per services and UI when compared to the Gmail a year back.Yesterday they came of with Gmail with different skins and those are really awesome.And couple of days back they introduced Video Chat integration to the gmail,its awesome more here.And through G-lab’s you can integrate calender,mouse gestures and many more things.Lets see what next surprise things they give us. G-Phone released

Update:-Google Phone going to hit india market by December more here.Actually IPhone in US costs $200 and in india they charge Rs31,000 which disappoints most of its lovers.To make a nice strategy entry G Phone should also keep a common man in india lets wait for GPhone.

 

So Google releases its G Phone which is a great news for its much waiting customers.They fix its price $20 less then Apple Iphone i.e $180.HTC is the maker and T-mobile is service provider with Android back by google is the OS maker.GPhone has a mini keyboard and few features as 

• One touch access to: Search, Maps, Gmail, Youtube, Calendar, and Google Talk
• 3.1 mp camera, no video recording
• Expandable up to 8GB etc

Smoking Banned from October 2(Gandhi Jayanthi)

 

No Smoking in Public places

The hard time for smoker came ,yesterday government announced that smoking would be banned in all public places form October 2.The public places includes Hotels,restaurants and offices and if any body caught in these premises they will be fined with 200Rs and can go to 1000 Rs (Good time for Cop’s).In addition to this government imposes a proper warning along with a skelton image should be there in all tobacco products from December 1.So this is a great step took by govt. to reduce smoking.Now if you want to smoke either u need to go to room or smoke in inside office .

 

So have a happy smoking till gandhi ji come with this ban on his coming b’day .

ps:According to a WHO study, around 14.1 per cent of school going children are using some or the other form of tobacco, which is very worrisome .

Google Chrome is too quick..

Today morning i installed Google Chrome and loved using it.So here are few things which i noticed.

• Easy to install:- As there is no much configurations required its very easy to install.
• Quick:- Just a click is enough it will open browser in fraction of sec’s koolllllllllll , this one i like most as its very fast in opening the browser.This this is because there are very few images when compare to other browsers.
• Developer Kit:- It has a developer kit which has 4 categories View Source,Debug JavaScript, JavaScript Console and Task Manager. Developer can work with JS using the JS console and Debug it ,but not as   kool as Fire bug.Task Manager show you detail data of memory used by each tab.
• Only tab get crashed instead of whole browser:-While browsing through any browser if any error occur while loading a site they crash whole browser i mostly get irritated of it,while here Google Chrome crashes that particular site alone. When i saw in Window Task Manager google is running each tab as a new task,so i think this might help them to to kill only that particular tab. instead of crashing whole browser .

Well this are the few things i noted in 1 hr usage of the browser.Few more things are discussed here.Have you tried it?????

Ahaaa google now comming with its own browser…Google Chrome

As other days today to i was going through the Techcrunch and came to know a great news that Google going to introduce its own browser Google Chrome tomorrow.This is a great threat to all other browsers specially i think for IE .

  Just on seeing images my first impression is not that much good as i feel with FireFox.Mostly it seems to be plane not much keys think currently they are coming with basic functionality.They came with some kool features as 

• Super tabs
• Security,sandboxing and  safe browsing
• Speed:webkit and V8(Googles JavaScript Virtual Machine)
• Search and user Experience

all the above features in detailed you can get from here.Well in detailed i will post once i try with it,so wait till tomorrow.

Well recently Microsoft released its IE 8 beta.I am trying to install it(specially to see its new JS debug bar)but facing some difficulties as its asks some other installations,any how i will install it and let you know soon.

Question: Could you give an example, from your own experience, of how leaders should manage failure?

Kalam: Let me tell you about my experience. In 1973 I became the project director of India ’s satellite launch vehicle program, commonly called the SLV-3. Our goal was to put India ’s ‘Rohini’ satellite into orbit by 1980. I was given funds and human resources — but was told clearly that by 1980 we had to launch the satellite into space. Thousands of people worked together in scientific and technical teams towards that goal. 

By 1979 — I think the month was August — we thought we were ready. As the project director, I went to the control center for the launch. At four minutes before the satellite launch, the computer began to go through the checklist of items that needed to be checked. One minute later, the computer program put the launch on hold; the display showed that some control components were not in order. My experts — I had four or five of them with me — told me not to worry; they had done their calculations and there was enough reserve fuel. So I bypassed the computer, switched to manual mode, and launched the rocket. In the first stage, everything worked fine. In the second stage, a problem developed. Instead of the satellite going into orbit, the whole rocket system plunged into the Bay of Bengal . It was a big failure.

That day, the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization, Prof. Satish D hawan, had called a press conference. The launch was at 7:00 am , and the press conference — where journalists from around the world were present — was at 7:45 am at ISRO’s satellite launch range in Sriharikota [in Andhra Pradesh in southern India ]. Prof. Dhawan, the leader of the organization, conducted the press conference himself. He took responsibility for the failure — he said that the team had worked very hard, but that it needed more technological support. He assured the media that in another year, the team would definitely succeed.. Now, I was the project director, and it was my failure, but instead, he took responsibility for the failure as chairman of the organization.

The next year, in July 1980, we tried again to launch the satellite — and this time we succeeded. The whole nation was jubilant. Again, there was a press conference. Prof. Dhawan called me aside and told me, ‘You conduct the press conference today.’ 

I learned a very important lesson that day. When failure occurred, the leader of the organization owned that failure. When success came, he gave it to his team. The best management lesson I have learned did not come to me from reading a book; it came from that experience.

Highest Inflation Rate…(2.2Million %)

A man holds a cellphone top-up card worth 100 billion Zimbabwe dollars in Harare yesterday...Too Cheap ...:)

As usual other days i go through newspaper but today I got something special news that’s in Zimbabwe the inflation rate touches 2.2M% which is world highest inflation rate. Here in India we people are dying of inflation of 11.2% , then what about people facing inflation rate of 2.2Million %. 

‘It said laundry soap on the black market went up by 70,000,000%, cooking oil by 60,000,000% and sugar by 36,000,000% — far higher than the official inflation rate.’ from a local newspaper.

O!!! mind going offffff… think if we are in such situation don’t know how to survive where you need to give a bundle of notes(currency) to buy a cup of tea.I think then all common people earning should be in crores …:) .God help those Zimbabweans ….I should be ready for any tough times.
